Ms Nomalungelo Mbewu also known as Lungi has over twenty-eight (28) years working experience. She has a combination of skills in Diversity and Change Management, Program and Project Management, Facilitation, Consulting, Stakeholder Management, Performance Management, Human Resources and People Management, Business Process Management, Strategy Development, Implementation and Monitoring and Scenario Planning.
Ms Nomalungelo Mbewu has worked for a Primary School, a University, a College of Education, Labour Link, Devtech (an American company that was managing some of the USAID funding for Historically Disadvantaged Tertiary Institutions), Eskom and City Power
Ms Nomalungelo Mbewu’s qualifications include Bachelor and an Honours in Pedagogies, a Masters Diploma in Human Resources and a Masters in Business Administration. She joined City Power as Manager: Business Planning and advanced within the business to General Manager for Business Strategy and member of the Executive Committee. In 2017 she moved to her current position of General Manager for Performance Monitoring, Evaluation and reporting in City Power. During her career she have managed the development of company strategy and business plan, managed the implementation and monitoring thereof and ensured continuous improvement in City Power.
Ms Nomalungelo Mbewu founded various companies like Vega Holdings and NAMS.she has also been the Project Manager for AMEU Women in Electricity that was launched on 03 August 2015 at the ICC in Durban. She was also a member of the Institute of Directors South Africa. Currently a founder and director of Zemele Agricultural Solution Pty (Ltd).
