Access to Technology: A program integrating SMME to global supply chains
African Women in Power and Energy (AWEaP) has partnered with the South African Electrotechnical Export Council (SAEEC) to support entrepreneurs in the energy and power sector to connect, contract, and trade with international Original Equipment manufacturers across multiple value chains.
We are excited to introduce you to this opportunity. Please invest some time to study the attached documents and participate in the program. It is a great opportunity to access technology that is currently in demand by large power users and independent power producers.
The SAEEC has a mandate to facilitate trade and the internationalization of entrepreneurs. It has an established record of acting as a formal interface between Government and the private sector regarding trade and the promotion of Small Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) participation.
Thus, the SAEEC have engaged with the dtic and large private-sector enterprises about a Strategic Partnership Programme (SPP) where SMMEs will receive operational and financial support. Through this programme we are jointly exploring the possibility of applying to the dtic for support for SMMEs in the electrotechnical sector.
As an Industry Association, representing interests of member manufacturing companies, the SAEEC will act as a facilitator for SMMEs, the dtic and the private sector strategic partner(s) throughout the lifespan of the programme. To learn more about the programme and how you can participate please study the attached word document and the attached guidelines which provide more details about the SPP and what you could expect as support to grow your business through this program.
You may be eligible for consideration as an SMME applicant in any potential SPP project submission.

We will only be accepting twenty-five (25) SMMEs in the first year (2023) and would therefore recommend a speedy response to this call. We look forward to working with you on this project.
