The programme equips energy utility and municipal electricity professionals with the strategic intelligence required to design and implement context-specific JET pathways that respond to local economic, social, and infrastructural realities.
The programme introduces energy entrepreneurs to value-chain entry points across both renewable and non-renewable energy systems—prioritising opportunities with lower barriers to entry, strong localisation potential, and scalable impact.
The programme curates targeted insights and expert perspectives to support a community-relevant understanding of the Just Energy Transition (JET) for community leaders. It is designed to strengthen the capacity of community leadership to engage meaningfully with the energy transition as it unfolds within South African communities—particularly in contexts where energy and infrastructure project development has direct social, economic, and environmental impacts.
